Tsega Sereke Tewelde need not return to Eritrea

On Wednesday was Tsega Sereke Tewelde know that she, after six years in Sweden and several rejections, finally now been granted permanent residence of the Swedish Migration Board, which is only a month ago said that she would tvångsutvisas.

Tsega Sereke Tewelde is one of the hundreds of Eritreans who were rejecting their applications for asylum a few years ago. Last year was executed a couple of forced expulsions, despite protests, including one from Amnesty. At the same time came reports that the situation in Eritrea deteriorated. Many threatened with deportation earlier refusal has therefore put forward new data from Eritrea as a reason for the expulsion should not be enforced. So far, the Swedish Migration Board usually rejected their request. But as DN attention has migration court in Stockholm often amended the Migration Board adverse decision and granted the new trial.


In the near future, the Migration Board now to take a guiding decisions requiring a change.
